Summertime Joy

With a little help from a talented friend, I have managed to do some photoshoots lately. Summer's finally here and with that my motivation to be more active in blogging has grown immediately. We've done some really good work and I'm happy I can share the results with you. More of those to come soon!

I've been quite occupied with work for the last year or so. It hasn't been easy, though I hope after so many tiring months full of dissapointment, I'll finally find something that brings me joy and enough money to pay the bills in London without having to save on everything.

Anyway, speaking of joy, the photos below seem like a perfect first step into summer. Taken on an English beach in a sunny (but extremely cold) April day, they bring some thoughts of this childish kind of happiness, when nothing else matters but the fact of being on the beach, carefully stepping into freezing water and drawing hearts on a sand.

I bought this dress years ago on H&M sale for less than 10 pounds and never actually wore it before. It seemed a bit too dressy to wear it outside, although it might still be doable with some leather or denim jacket.

Question to my Polish readers / pytanie dla moich polskich czytelników:

Home details

I`ve been meaning to write a post showing my home details for a while and, since I`ve finally sorted out my new place, now is a perfect time to share some photos with you. This is what occupied my mind and all of my free time for the last few months (anyone who says moving is easy, not stressful and doesn`t take much time is clearly insane) and I`m so happy it`s finally done. The place itself is far from perfect, but I`ve proved that you can create a nice bedroom even in the typical old English house with little flexibility over the furniture. I brought a white chest of drawers from my old house, it`s good to have something you owned for a while when moving to a new place, makes it feel like home straight away.

My grandmother mastered buying silver home accessories to perfection, it`s one of her guilty pleasures and she always picks the nicest pieces. Instead of keeping them in the kitchen, I love to use them as decorative accessories for my cosmetics and jewelry.

This is the most beautiful gift I have ever received: a hand made hatchet with 'Don`t be a slogan to anyone as you are a poetry.' sentence written on it. Unfortunately the pen got rubbed off now and the sentence is barely visible, but I still love to look at it, especially during the harder times, it makes me feel so much stronger. Gifts like that are my absolute favourites - they`re personal, creative, sensitive, truthfull and so much more worthful than something you can just buy at the store. I`ve got this one around 10 years ago and I don`t think I`ll ever get rid of it.
